The 541st and 542nd Parachute Infantry Regiments in January 1944

The two Regiments moved to Ft. Meade, MD on their way to England. 

The 541st left from Camp Mackall, NC and the 542nd from Ft. Benning, GA.  They were the Replacements/Overstrength Paratroopers for the upcoming Normandy Invasion 5 months hence.
